New York City is filled with hotels. Where should I stay?
Recommended hotels in the neighborhood include Comfort Inn Lower East Side, The Gem Hotel Soho, Guest House Off Park, and Hotel 17. Hotels.com is a great resource for more options.
When I get hungry, what (and where) will I eat?
We will have coffee, water, and snacks available in the social hall. We ask that you help us keep all food and drink (other than water) out of the sanctuary. (The conference sessions will be broadcast in the social hall so you can finish your coffee without missing a thing!)
We will be providing a list of some of our favorite places in the neighborhood you might want to check out. Some meals are included in the price of the conference.
Will there be any books or resources I purchase and take home with me?
Yes! The conference bookstore will be open each day in the Social Hall.
What’s the wifi situation?
Wifi will be available throughout the building. Twitter, Facebook and Instagram the conference to your heart’s content.
Is there an official hashtag for the conference?
There is! Use #Middle2016 to capture all your social media photos, videos, and updates from the conference.
How much does it cost to get from the airport to the conference?
A taxi from LaGuardia Airport will cost about $30 and take about 30 minutes. From JFK Airport, the fare is a flat rate of $52 plus toll and tip and takes about 45 minutes. From Newark Liberty Airport, a private car service such as Carmel or Dial7 is recommended and will take about an hour. Public Transportation is available from all airports and involves connecting between buses, trains, and subways. The closest subway stops are Astor Place (6), 8th Street (N, R), and 2nd Avenue (F). A good resource for public transportation routes is Hopstop.com or Google Maps. Services like Uber and Lyft are also available in New York City.
